Tilburg duo Boef en de Gelogeerde Aap just dropped there album “Vind Ons” last week. Its a free download (download it here) from there site, but don’t take that to mean its cheap quality, its actually quite dope. The beats are kinda a grime/hiphop mix, with very synthy & digital beats, but more of a hiphop tempo and humor to it. Thankfully it also lacks the overly hyperness and word-repeating of grime (the latter being highly fucking annoying to me). I’m not that well versed in dutch rap to really critique their vocal delivery, but I will say it has more of a chilled out & stoned delivery than a big ego hardbody delivery (though I think the vocals could have used a little more “umph” at times) – that being said, they’re best tunes are the slower more introspective ones. Check it out, there’s a lot of good stuff in there, and it’s all in Dutch too! Big up guys!
