Subway Recordings is by far Holland’s #1 dubstep label, and has been for some time now (at least in my view). Much of the credit for that goes to our pal Nicon. So when Subway started a podcast series, it was obvious who was gonna be mixing it. If you don’t know much about Subway, then here your chance to get more into it :

Alot is happening here at Subway HQ and a podcast is one of those things… I thought id kick off the first mix with a selection of tunes ive been playing for a long while allready, it ended up more like a mix i usually do instead of a “subway promo mix” but i reckon alot of people wont mind as i never put up mixes hehehe.
expect alot more mixes from subway / scum / tube10 affiliated artists alongside some of the best dutch locals out there…

Our pal El Maria is backing with another slick mix. More of that dancy bass pressure, up beat funky-ness, future carribean …. basically fucked up dancehall. You can catch El Maria spin up a set of this type stuff when he joins us next month at Brrrap! @ Bitterzoet (Friday, July 30th) — more info on that soon.
Another podcast from the Kokeshi label, with some more smooth, deep dubstep/dnb type stuff.
This podkast is inspired by cinema / films / soundtracks.. I was hunting around for some samples for some of my tunes, and I came across this amazing Mashed in Plastic compilation /mashup with david lynch film and tv scores, dialogue from the films, and music. It’s amazing..I borrowed the intro which is in the podkast. Also having listened to ASC’s forthcoming album, Irrelevants tunes, and using many film samples for my own music..it really makes me think about how important music is to film and tv and vice versa. What makes me cry when I watch a scene in a film?….its not just the action but its also the film score. So this is my little tribute to all the music that brings what we watch come to life. And all the film quotes and music that inspire modern bass music. So for today this is the soundtrack to my life. I hope you like it. — AC
