3e release van Brrrap! Records door Nederlandse talent Myrkur

Brrrap! begon 2 jaar geleden als een magazine welke schrijft over Nederlandse Dubstep en urban culture. Iedere maand showcasen we een getalenteerde producer van Nederlandse bodem en zo zijn al eerder de producers Piro, Proxima, TMSV aan bod geweest.

In de maand maart is het de beurt aan Myrkur die al enkele releases op zijn naam heeft staan op o.a. het Franse digitale label F.4.T. Music. Zelf is hij ook verantwoordelijk voor Radical, een feest wat goed loopt in de OT301, waar hij de andere meer diepere en experimentelere kant van dubstep laat horen. Zijn sounds zijn melodieus en atmospherisch met invloeden uit de IDM, Ambient en andere experimentele genres. Slechts 20 jaar oud, maar wij van Brrrap! verwachten grootste dingen van hem.

Verder zal ook Akkachar aka Don Rwina van Rwina Records deze avond zijn ding gaan doen, evenals Piro, wie reeds een release op Brrrap! Records op zijn naam heeft staan. Vaste crew Osiris, Quest One MC en Class/A Visuals maken voor deze avond muzikaal en visueel de lijst af.
Naast goeie muziek, hebben we ook Kjell van MESMO clothing uit Rotterdam gevraagd om met zijn kleding een stand op te bouwen. Zijn kleding is kenmerkend door straat cultuur en aanwezige graphics.

Is een nieuwe frisse wind van creativiteit in de Nederlandse dubstep scene. Met slechts 20 jaar maakt deze producer uit Santpoort al behoorlijke naam voor zichzelf. Verschillende meesterwerken zoals ‘Why’ en ‘Skttrbrain zijn uitgebracht via F.4.T. Music uit Frankrijk en is nu ook Aphone’s Doublestep remix beschikbaar op vinyl. Verwacht veel melodie en atmosfeer met invloeden uit de IDM en Post-Rock hoek.

Akkachar (Amsterdam, NL) – www.myspace.com/akkachar
Akkachar aka Don Rwina van Rwina Records, waarin Rwina in het Marokkaans ‘Onophoudelijke Chaos’ betekent, is bekend om zijn zeer vooruitstrevende blik, gehoor en ideeen over muziek. Deze man is gek op synths en dat hoor je duidelijk terug in de muziek die hij releast en daarnaast ook in zijn eigen beats..

Piro, bekend van o.a. de eerste release op Brrrap! Records en zijn superstrakke sets en mixes zal deze avond weer een bijzondere verschijning maken. Iedere keer een positieve verrassing.

Osiris is een van Neerlandsch top djs met veel ervaring en sets op vrijwel alle Dubstep feesten en festivals in Nederland. He runt het Nederlandse dubstepforum (www.dubstep.nl) en is een partner in Brrrap!
Verwacht veel (nog) onuitgebrachte tracks en dansvloer bangers.

Onze host van de avond, Quest One, komt oorspronkelijk uit de Drum’n bass, maar kan werkelijk flowen over alles!

Ontwerper en eigenaar van Brrrap! Magazine heeft onlangs ook “VJ” op zijn lijst van taken gezet. Vunzige visuals met een stads gevoel is zijn ding, maar wees niet bang, tis slechts een filmpje.

The issue also features a centerfold artpiece from Jelmer Noordeman, loads of reviews (Dutch releases and international ones), and plenty more stuff too. If you didn’t make it to the Brrrap! party last Saturday to pick up a hardcopy, just come to the next Brrrap! party on the 17th @ Bitterzoet and pick one up. The print version is also available at Triple Vision in Rotterdam and other dubstep record shops around Holland (from next week onwards). Also, you can pick it up at stores in Amsterdam, including, Distortion Records, Patta, Rush Hour, Barrio, Hana Zuki, and Henxs.

And if you’re not close enough to pick up a hardcopy, you can download the .pdf or you can view it online.
