Dutch producer HALP, aka Thomas de Rijk from Rotterdam, has a release set to come out on Starkey’s Seclusiasis label. Among them I guess the tune Leek, which is a pretty cool glitchy type of tune (think Flying Lotus, Slugabed, etc.) but one that I actually find dope instead of forcefully stuttered and ball-less (as I find a lot of glitchy stuff to be). HALP tough puts some cool melodies overtop of a really energetic bassline thing. I dunno, check it out and see if its yourthing, enough people like it, I like it, you probably will too. Keep your eyes on HALP. For more on HALP, check out the interview w/ him at the Lowriders Collective blog (Rotterdam glitchy/dubby party night & label) :
This pic is from HALP, and is a pretty good visual of his sound.
