His music comes across like a dancehall/punk/grime blendup without being over the top. I dunno, it rocks, feels somewhat jaimaican, and doesn’t feel glossy or commercial. He just dropped a his new Shadow of Death EP on NYC’s Trouble & Bass label — stream the EP here or buy it here. But yo, whatever you do, check this vid. This tune bumps, and the visuals match the vibe.

If you don’t know 101Barz, then you must not be into Dutch hiphop. To get you up to speed, its basically a website featuring video of freestyle sessions in their studio with top level and upcoming artists from Holland (and occaisionally somewhere else). Normally its just rap, but recently they got a bit grimey, and brought in the Noiz Boiz crew from Rotterdam. Peep the video and let us know what you think.

I keep wanting to say something about this clip, without giving too much away, but the minimalism of the storyline stops me. So just watch the clip and enjoy the music & drops synced with time lapse and writhing in anguish. Tek Step, not known for being subdued, teamed up with Kaus Media for this one.
